We are now continuing with the development of the Giraffe neighbourhood - Phase 2, here we come!
Phase 2 includes modernisation and renovation of the interior and exterior of the gallery passage outside Coop and Systembolaget, as well as the outdoor environment facing Polhemsgatan/Daléngatan/Verkstadsgatan. The gallery entrance outside Coop and Systembolaget will be in the same spirit as the new block street, where the floor and roof will be updated and the facade will be covered with wooden slats and more green. Then, of course, preparations are also being made for Stadium's new store, which will open in September.
In August, work will begin on replacing the trunk in Ginger's premises. This means that Ginger will be closed during August. But hang in there! They will reopen in September, with a new facade and an expanded restaurant area.
The outdoor environment to the west will be significantly improved. From the yellow entrance towards Daléngatan, the facade, walkways and car park are currently being given a major facelift. In connection with this, the flow in the car park will improve and we will be able to offer more visitor parking. At the green entrance (Verkstadsgatan/Systembolaget) we have significantly expanded the customer car park. At the request of you, our important customers, we have removed the staff car park and left the entire area free for visitors. We have also added some 20 new car parks along the façade. A more inviting environment will also be created at this entrance with vegetation and plantings.
The temporary bus stop outside Coop's old pawn shop has been moved to a permanent location outside Nordic Wellness.
The remodelling is taking place section by section and will not affect customer flow. Much of the work has started and is expected to be completed in the near future. We hope to be able to hold an opening party in the autumn! Under the current circumstances, we will have to come back later on that issue. In the meantime, we are of course open as usual!
