The Giraffe Quarter is a busy commercial centre with around six million visitors a year, so safety and security are high priorities. Kvarteret Giraffen has been certified according to the international SHORE standard, which means that Kvarteret has undergone an independent audit, confirming that the centre's operations are of a high international security standard.
- Safety and security are always a high priority for us in the neighbourhood. It is extremely important that we are perceived as a safe and secure meeting place and workplace. Our visitors and our tenants are our most important asset, and we work continuously on our preventive security work. This year, along with other measures, we therefore also chose to obtain security certification. The survey of our shopping centre was carried out in June and we are now proud to announce that Kvarteret has been gold-certified, says Martina Adolfsson Nyström, Centre Manager of Kvarteret Giraffen.
SAFE Asset Group certifies the security of trading centres worldwide. The SHORE certification measures resilience in the area of safety and security and assesses management against 800 criteria in six main areas:
- Management systems and risk management
- Physical property protection
- Customer safety and security
- Tenant safety and security
- Security and surveillance systems
- Crisis and business continuity planning
- The SHORE certification shows that Kvarteret Giraffen has a good international standard in its safety and security work. They add value through good preventive work that minimises the risks for tenants and visitors to Kvarteret Giraffen.
