The Nordic region's largest watch and jewellery chain is now coming to Kvarteret Giraffen!
Kvarteret Giraffen can now announce the happy news that the watch and jewellery chain Ur & Penn is establishing itself as early as mid-June. Ur & Penn, with its more than 120 stores, is the Nordic region's leading chain in watches and fashion accessories.
- "It's great that Ur & Penn has chosen to establish itself in our neighbourhood! They are taking over the former Teknikmagasinet premises, which are the perfect size for their concept," says Martina Adolfsson Nyström, Centre Manager at Kvarteret Giraffen. They have a high level of fashion and a good price image, which matches what the visitors demand well.
- We see Ur & Penn as a great complement to our other stores and they also offer simple repairs, which is a service that is increasingly in demand by today's conscious consumers," concludes Martina.
Ur & Penn was founded in 1943 by Erling Persson, but was acquired in 2002 by Ayad Al Saffar, the former market trader and family man from Lebanon. What Ayad did was to develop Ur & Penn's strategy through a broad and affordable product concept. Something that proved to be successful and now they choose to establish their second store in Kalmar.

The neighbourhood is an obvious destination for shopping and experiences, which suits our concept perfectly! The Giraffe Quarter is currently home to almost 50 shops, restaurants and cafés, and work is constantly underway to develop the shopping centre so that there is always something new for the 6.3 million visitors who pass through this attractive quarter every year.
